A custom website for a family-owned contractor that patches and checks itself
SaberGuard built a five-person renovation contractor's website as custom code, with weekly vulnerability checks and software updates that apply only after the site passes its tests. Google Workspace and managed IT come next.

The situation: a contractor whose website had to sell the work
The company is a family-owned residential and commercial contractor in Central Massachusetts, with five people and more than 25 years of construction experience behind it. It does kitchens and bathrooms, full interior renovations, siding and custom millwork. It needed a website that shows that work and turns visitors into estimate requests.
A custom website the company owns
SaberGuard built the site as custom code that belongs to the company, kept under version control. It has pages for each service, a portfolio of finished projects, a free-estimate request, an FAQ, and a page where homeowners can check monthly payment plans through the company's financing partner.
SaberGuard runs the hosting, deployments and site analytics. The site is also built to pull new project photos from the company's Instagram account automatically. That feature switches on once the account is connected.
Updates and security checks that run themselves
- Every week the site's code is checked for known vulnerabilities in the software it depends on.
- Updates to that software are grouped into one change a week. Each change is applied only after the site passes its lint, type and build checks.
- Major version upgrades are held back and done as planned upgrades, so an update can't change how the site works without someone looking at it first.
What's next
SaberGuard is moving the company onto Google Workspace and taking over management of its IT.
